Somewhere along the way, friendship got treated like the runner up. Like it's what you settle for when the "real" goal, usually dating, doesn't pan out. We think that's backwards, and honestly, a little insulting to how much friendship actually shapes a life.
Ask anyone who's ever moved for a job, started a business, or just needed someone to show up for them on a hard day, and they'll tell you: the friend who became your workout partner, your business partner, your person to call at midnight, that relationship did more for your life than most first dates ever will.

Finjani was built with that in mind. When we say the app isn't about matching people romantically, we mean it, and friendship is the clearest proof. We've seen people come to a Finjani dinner hoping for nothing more than a decent night out, and leave with a hiking buddy. A co founder. A person who ends up standing next to them at their wedding a few years later.
We don't rank these outcomes. We don't treat a new friendship as the consolation version of a "successful" night. A table full of people who click as friends is just as much the point as anything else that might happen. Sometimes more, honestly, because those are often the relationships that last the longest.
If you're looking for your people, not necessarily a partner, just people, you're not looking for something smaller. You're looking for something that tends to stick around. Fill your cup. Bring your whole self. See who's worth keeping around.
